Simple deviled eggs turn Halloween-themed when topped with a surprisingly lifelike black olive spider!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 12
12 eggs, hard boiled, peeled, halved
Mayonnaise
½ cup
Hot paprika
2 tsps
Hot sauce
2 tsps
Mustard
2 tsps
Salt
to taste
20 black olives
DIRECTIONS
- Scoop the yolks out of the egg halves into a medium bowl. Mash them with mayo, paprika, hot sauce and mustard. Season with salt.
- Spoon the filling back into the egg halves (or use a piping bag for a classy cap shape).
- Cut olives in half lengthwise, place 1 half on top of each deviled egg for the spider’s body.
- Slice the remaining olive halves lengthwise to make spider legs and arrange them around the ‘bodies’. Arrange devilish eggs on a platter and serve.
