Easy Queso Recipe: This is how to make the best queso!
INGREDIENTS

Extra-virgin olive oil
2 tbsp
Small onion
1, chopped
Jalapeno pepper
1, minced
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Pepper Jack
4 oz, shredded
American cheese
12 oz, shredded
Milk
1 cup
Ground black pepper
to taste
Kosher salt
to taste
Tomato
1, diced
Green chilis
1 (4-oz) can
Cilantro
1/4 cup, chopped (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium. Add chopped onion. Cook for 5 minutes, or until soft. Add minced jalapeno pepper and garlic cloves. Cook for about 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Add shredded Pepper Jack cheese and American cheese. Add milk. Cook until the cheeses are melted. Then, season with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Add tomatoes, cilantro (if using), and chilis. Serve your Cheesy Queso with chips.
