How to Make Marinara Cheesy

This easy Marinara Pasta features five cheeses. Simply delicious!

INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Penne 
1 lb
Olive oil 
1 tbsp
Onion, 
1, chopped
Garlic 
2 cloves, minced
Salt 
to taste
Ground black pepper 
to taste
Dried oregano 
1 tsp
Crushed tomatoes 
1 (28-oz) can
Mozzarella 
1/4 cup, shredded
Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup, grated
Fontina 
1/3 cup, shredded
Ricotta 
1/4 cup
Asiago 
1/4 cup, shredded
Parsley 
chopped, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
  1. Pour water into a pot. Add salt. Bring to a boil. Cook the penne following the package directions. Drain the pasta. 
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium. Cook onion for 5 minutes, or until softened. Add garlic. Season with salt, ground black pepper, and oregano. Cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant. Add crushed tomatoes. Bring to a simmer. Keep cooking for 10 minutes. 
  3. Add mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, Asiago, fontina, and ricotta. Cook until melty. Taste and add more salt or ground black pepper if needed. Add penne. Stir to coat. Remove from heat. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy your five cheese marinara sauce!
