Cacio e Pepe Recipe: You will be surprised how flavorful this easy Cacio e Pepe pasta is!
INGREDIENTS

Pasta
1/2 lb
Butter
2 tbsp, divided
Olive oil
1 tbsp
Coarsely ground black pepper
to taste
Pecorino
3/4 cup, grated (plus for garnish)
Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup, grated (plus for garnish)
DIRECTIONS
- Pour water into a pot. Add salt. Bring to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente. Reserving cooking water (about 2/3 cup), drain the pasta.
- Melt butter (1 tbsp) and oil in a skillet over medium. Add ground black pepper. Cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
- Add cooking water (1/3 cup). Bring to a simmer. Whisk in butter (1 tbsp). Toss the pasta into the mixture.
- Add Pecorino and Parmesan. Toss until melty. Remove the skillet from heat when half of the cheese has melted. Add more cooking water if necessary. Serve and enjoy your Cacio e Pepe!
