Majorly delicious, this variation of the classic chicken recipe is the perfect healthy meal.
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Garlic
1 clove, grated
Soy sauce
3 tbsps
White vinegar
2 tbsps
Sugar
2 tbsps
Shrimp
1 lb, peeled, deveined, tails removed
Salt
to taste
Ground black pepper
to taste
Cornstarch
1/2 cup
Ketchup
1/3 cup
Dry mustard
1/2 tsp
Broccoli
1 head, cut into florets
Vegetable oil
for frying
Toasted sesame seeds
1 tbsp
DIRECTIONS
- Combine grated garlic, white vinegar, soy sauce, mustard, sugar, and ketchup in a skillet. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat.
- In a pot, cook broccoli until tender.
- Season shrimp with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Dredge in cornstarch.
- Heat oil (1/2 inch) in a skillet. Add shrimp. Cook until golden. Add the sauce. Stirring, fry until caramelized. Serve with broccoli. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy your General Tso's Shrimp!
