Fluffy pumpkin pancakes with a baked-in Halloween design in chocolate!
INGREDIENTS

All-purpose flour
1 cup
Quick cooking oats
1 cup
Brown sugar
¼ cup
Baking powder
2 tsp.
Ground cinnamon
¼ tsp.
Ground cloves
¼ tsp.
Salt
½ tsp.
Milk
1 cup
Egg
1
Canned pumpkin
¾ cup
Vegetable oil
2 tbsp.
Melted chocolate
1/4 cup
Butter, for the skillet
DIRECTIONS
- Mix oats with flour, brown sugar, salt, spices, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, beat egg with milk, pumpkin, and vegetable oil.
- Combine both mixtures; mix until just incorporated.
- Reserve 1/3 cup of the batter and mix it with melted chocolate. Add water to thin the mixture out until pourable and transfer to a small squeeze bottle.
- Pour uncolored batter (1/3 cup at a time) onto a hot buttered nonstick skillet. Pipe the chocolate batter over the plain batter to form a scary design. Cook until bubbly (1 minute), flip, cook for another minute. Repeat with the remaining batter.
