This brown sugar ham steak recipe is perfect for a smaller Christmas dinner. You can also serve it with scalloped potatoes.
INGREDIENTS

Cooked ham steak
1 lb
Maple syrup
1/4 cup
Dijon mustard
1 tsp
Extra-virgin olive oil
5 tsp, divided
Packed brown sugar
2 tbsp
Apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp
Tuscan kale
6 oz, stems removed, leaves torn into 2-inch pieces
Cooked black-eyed peas
3/4 cup
DIRECTIONS
- Whisk syrup, sugar, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard together.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium. Add kale. Cook for 4 minutes, until wilted. Add peas. Cook for 1 minute, or until heated through. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- Heat 2 teaspoons olive oil over medium-high. Add ham. Cook for 4 minutes on each side, or until golden.
- Pour the syrup mixture into the skillet. Cook until fully coated. Return the kale and peas to the skillet. Toss to coat. Serve and enjoy your Ham Steak with Maple Syrup!
