Harira is a Moroccan soup made with lamb, noodles, cinnamon, tomatoes, and beans!
INGREDIENTS

Lamb meat
1 lb, cubed

Ground cayenne pepper

3/4 cup, chopped
Ground turmeric

Ground black pepper

Ground cinnamon

Vermicelli pasta
4 oz
Eggs
2, beaten
Lemon
1, juiced
Diced tomatoes
1 (29 oz) can
Water
7 cups
Green lentils
3/4 cup
Garbanzo beans, drained
1 (15 oz) can, drained
DIRECTIONS
- Stirring frequently, cook cubed lamb, turmeric, black pepper, cinnamon, ginger, cayenne, butter, celery, onion, and cilantro in a pot over low heat for 5 minutes. Reserving juice, add diced tomatoes. Let the soup simmer for about 15 min.
- Add tomato juice, water, and lentils. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover, and let it simmer for 2 hours.
- 10 minutes before serving, add chickpeas and noodles. Cook for 10 minutes over medium-high, or until the noodles are al-dente. Add lemon and eggs. Continue cooking for 1 minute more. Serve and enjoy your Harira Soup!
