INGREDIENTS

White sugar
1/3 cup
Chipotle chili powder
1 ½ tsps
Chili powder
¼ tsp
Garlic powder
¼ tsp
Butter
2 tbsps
Honey
2 tbsps
Kosher salt
1 tsp
Skinless peanuts
1 lb
DIRECTIONS
- While preheating oven to 325°F/160°C/Gas Mark 3, mix sugar with garlic powder and both chili powders in a small bowl.
- Place a large saucepan over medium heat. Add butter, honey and kosher salt and go on stirring until the butter has melted and bubbles start appearing. Add peanuts, stir well to coat on all sides.
- Arrange the peanuts in one layer on a baking pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Stir once or twice within this period to help the peanuts cook evenly. Remove from oven, transfer into a metal bowl. Sprinkle with the spices, toss to coat; let cool to room temperature while tossing often to prevent the peanuts from sticking together.
