INGREDIENTS

Beef chuck
2 lbs, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
Salt
to taste
Cayenne
¼ tsp
Curry powder
3 tbsp
Unsweetened coconut milk
2 (13.5-oz) cans
Ground black pepper
to taste
Vegetable oil
2 tbsp
Medium onion
1, diced
Garlic
4 cloves, finely grated
Ginger
3" piece, finely grated
Ground cinnamon
½ tsp
Yogurt
for serving
Naan
for serving
DIRECTIONS
- Season the beef with salt and black pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high. Cook beef for 3 minutes, turning once, until golden brown. Transfer the beef to a plate. Set aside.
- Add onion. Cook for 5 minutes, until soft. Add garlic, ginger, cayenne, curry powder, and cinnamon. Cook for 1 minute. Add coconut milk. Bring to a simmer. Reduce to low. Return the meat to the skillet. Keep cooking for 1 1/2 hours, until tender. Serve with yogurt and naan. Enjoy your Indian Beef!
