Snack on these delicious Japanese-style fried shrimp!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Medium shrimp
1 pound, peeled (tails left on), deveined
Salt
1/2 tsp
Ground black pepper
1/2 tsp
Garlic powder
1/2 tsp
All-purpose flour
1 cup
Paprika
1 tsp
Beaten eggs
2
Panko crumbs
1 cup
Vegetable oil for frying
1 quart
DIRECTIONS
- Put the shrimp in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Mix the flour and paprika in a small bowl. Put eggs and panko crumbs into separate bowls.
- In a deep fryer, heat the oil to 375° F. Dip shrimp into the flour and paprika mixture. Dip into the eggs and then, into the crumbs. Coat well.
- Fry the shrimp a few at a time for 5 minutes (or until they're golden brown). Remove them from the fryer and drain on paper towels. Serve.
