INGREDIENTS

White sugar
¾ cup
Shortening
¼ cup
Egg
1
All-purpose flour
2 cups
Baking powder
2 tsp.
Salt
½ tsp.
Milk
½ cup
Blueberries
2 cups
Sugar
½ cup
All-purpose flour
1/3 cup
Ground cinnamon
½ tsp.
Butter
¼ cup, softened
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat the oven to 375° F/190° C/Gas Mark 5.
  2. Prepare an 8x8 inch pan and grease it.
  3. Combine the first 3 ingredients (from sugar to egg) and cream them together.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the next 3 ingredients (from flour to salt). Stir into the sugar mixture alternately with milk.
  5. Add blueberries and put the batter into the pan.
  6. Combine the remaining ingredients (from sugar to butter) and sprinkle the mixture over the batter.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
