Toasted Ravioli is a classic Midwestern appetizer that deserves worldwide recognition!
INGREDIENTS

Whole milk
2 tbsps
Egg
1
Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
¾ cup
Salt
½ tsp (optional)
Frozen cheese ravioli
½ 25-oz package, thawed
Vegetable oil
3 cups (for frying)
Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp, grated
Spaghetti sauce
1 16-oz jar
DIRECTIONS
- In a small bowl, whisk egg with milk.
- Add breadcrumbs and some salt, if desired, into a shallow bowl.
- Dip ravioli in milk mixture, then in breadcrumbs, let coat well.
- Pour oil until 2-in deep into a large heavy pan. Heat over medium heat (check with breadcrumbs – the oil is well-heated through when they start sizzling immediately after being thrown into the oil). Fry ravioli in small batches for 1 minute per side or until golden. Transfer to a platter covered with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Heat marinara sauce through in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Sprinkle toasted ravioli with Parmesan and serve with heated marinara sauce.
