These Mummy Dogs are a cute Halloween party snack!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 6
Refrigerated pie dough
1 round
Hot dogs
6
Black olives
2
Mayonnaise
1 tbsp (can be replaced with 1 egg white from a hard-boiled egg +1 tsp of mustard)
Ketchup (optional)
to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Pre-heat oven to 375°F/190°C/Gas Mark 5. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the dough into 18 strips. Wrap the strips around 6 dogs (do not try to be neat, let the ‘gauze’ tangle and overlap).
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Remove from oven to let cool slightly.
- Use mayo or egg whites to make eyeballs. Attach bits of black olive (in case of egg white, use mustard to let them stick). Sprinkle with ketchup for blood, if desired.
