INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Radishes, thinly sliced

Anise pod 
1 star
Cumin seed 
1/2 tsp
Black peppercorns 
1/2 tsp
White wine vinegar 
2/3 cup
Water 
1/3 cup
White sugar 
1 tbsp
Salt 
1 tsp
DIRECTIONS
  1. Put the radishes into a jar (pint-sized) with a lid. In a non-reactive saucepan, heat white vinegar and water over medium heat. Add sugar and salt. Remove from heat. Add anise, cumin, and peppercorns. Let it cool for about 10 minutes. Pour liquid over the radish slices. Let it cool to room temperature, covered. Refrigerate.
