Tonkatsu Recipe: Here's how to make the best possible Pork Tonkatsu at home!
INGREDIENTS

Lean boneless pork loin chops
4 (5 oz. each)
Kosher salt
to taste
Ground black pepper
to taste
Eggs
2, whisked
All-purpose flour
1 cup
Panko bread crumbs
2 cup
Vegetable oil
4 tbsp
Green cabbage
4 cups, sliced, for serving
Tonkatsu sauce
for serving (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Remove the extra fat. Make small slits on the tissue between the meat and fat.
- Place pork between 2 pieces of plastic wrap. Place the pork on a cutting board. With a rolling pin, flatten the pork to make it 1/4-inch thick. Season the meat with salt and ground black pepper.
- Place whisked eggs in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, place panko. Next, in another shallow bowl, place flour. Dip the pork into the flour, eggs, and panko.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium. Cook pork for 3 minutes, or until cooked through. Serve with cabbage and Tonkatsu sauce. Enjoy your Tonkatsu Pork!
