These au gratin potatoes are delightlfully creamy and so easy to prepare!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 8
Yukon Gold potatoes
3 lbs, peeled and thinly sliced
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Salt
3/4 tsp
Grated nutmeg
to taste
Gruyere cheese
2 cups, shredded, divided
Heavy cream
1 cup, divided
Ground black pepper
to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350° F (175° C).
- Fill a large pot with water. Add potatoes, salt, and garlic. Bring to a boil. Simmer potatoes for 10 min over medium heat, until tender. Transfer half the potatoes to a baking dish.
- Pour 1/2 cup heavy cream over the potatoes. Season with pepper and nutmeg. Sprinkle with 1 cup shredded cheese. Top the cheese with potatoes. Season with pepper and nutmeg again. Pour 1/2 cup heavy cream. Sprinkle 1 cup cheese.
- Bake Au Gratin Potatoes for 1 hour, until the top is crisp and browned. Serve and enjoy!
