A classic mash with a flavour twist of roasted garlic. Comforting side dish!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 6
Medium head garlic
1
Olive oil
1 tbsp.
Russet potatoes
2 pounds peeled and quartered
Butter
4 tbsp., softened
Milk
1/2 cup
Salt and pepper
to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Set the oven to 350° F/175° C/Gas Mark 4.
- Drizzle garlic with olive oil and wrap in aluminum foil. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add quatered potatoes and cook until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain. Stir in butter, warmed up milk, salt and pepper.
- Remove the garlic from the oven, and cut in half. Squeeze the cloves into the potatoes. Blend potatoes with an electric mixer or a potator masher until desired consistency.
