Try this refreshing Mexican Sweet Horchata made with rice, milk, and vanilla!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 6
Uncooked white long-grain rice
1 cup
Water
5 cups
Milk
½ cup
Vanilla extract
½ tbsp.
Cinnamon
½ tbsp., ground
White sugar
2/3 cup
DIRECTIONS
- Put rice into the bowl of a blender and add water. Blend until rice starts to break up (fro about 1 min).
- Let the mixture rest for at least 3 hours at room temperature.
- Filter the rice water into a jug discarding the rice.
- Add the remaining ingredients (from milk to sugar) and stir the mixture well.
- Chill the horchata and serve over ice.
