Tomato Bisque is an extra silky and smooth version of the classic tomato soup.

INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Tomatoes 
2 lbs
Butter 
1/2 cup
All-purpose flour 
1/3 cup
Milk 
1 quart
Dried basil 
1/4 tsp
Beef bouillon 
2 cubes, crumbled 
White sugar 
1 tbsp
Salt 
1 tsp
Bay leaf 
1
Ground black pepper 
1/4 tsp
DIRECTIONS
  1. Remove seeds and skins by running tomatoes through a food mill. 
  2. Place tomatoes in a pot over medium heat. Add beef bouillon cubes, salt, bay leaf, white sugar, dried basil, and ground black pepper. Bring to a boil. 
  3. Reduce heat. Continue cooking for 30 min. 
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour. Whisk in milk, a little at a time. Cook and stir until the mixture has thickened. Stir the mixture into the tomato mixture. Heat through and serve. Enjoy your Tomato Bisque!
