INGREDIENTS
Servings: 16
Warm water
½ cup (about 110° F/45° C)
Warm milk
½ cup
Egg
1
Butter
1/3 cup, softened
White sugar
1/3 cup
Salt
1 tsp.
All-purpose flour
3 ¾ cups
Active dry yeast
1 (0.25 oz.)
Butter
¼ cup, softened
DIRECTIONS
  1. Add all but the last ingredient (from water to yeast) to the pan of your bread machine in the order that’s recommended by the manufacturer.
  2. Choose Dough/Knead and First Rise Cycle and press the Start button.
  3. When the cycle is over, flour a surface lightly and turn the dough on it. Divide the dough into half.
  4. Roll each dough half into a 12-inch circle and spread the rest of butter over the round. Divide the circle into 8 wedges.
  5. Starting at wide end, roll the wedges gently yet tightly. Put them on an ungreased cookie sheet, point side down. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  6. Meanwhile, heat the oven to 400° F/200° C/Gas Mark 6. Bake the rolls for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden.
